Once the surface is clean and dry, you can paint or stain over Wet & Forget. How soon after applying Wet & Forget can I start painting?
Thoroughly saturate the surface with Wet & Forget on a cool, dry day. Late in the day is best. Leave the growth to start decomposing for 2-3 weeks (the longer the better!) then prior to painting or staining, gently pressure wash the surface - growth, dirt and residue will come off faster and easier. The surface will also be sterile reducing possible contamination of the new paint with algae and fungi.
Do I have to use it all at once?
No, Wet & Forget is fine if left in the spray container as it does not deteriorate or go off when it has been diluted. Plus it will not damage your garden sprayer as the product is not corrosive.
Will it affect my pets?
Please follow all on pack advice for pet safety. Although Wet & Forget doesn’t contain bleach or ammonia we recommend keeping your animals off the treated surface until it is dry, to ensure they don't ingest any of the product. If they accidentally walk or sit in the product wash their feet and bottoms with fresh water as a precaution. If ingestion has occurred, seek medical advice.
Will it damage my plants?
Not unless you are directly spraying it onto the plants. If you accidentally do this, then rinse the plants down with water from the hose, or better still, protect them with paper or plastic to avoid overspray.

How long does Wet & Forget take to work?
How long Wet & Forget takes to work is totally dependent on the intensity of the contamination of mould, algae or lichen. For mild contaminations, results can be seen in days. For more stubborn infestations Wet & Forget can take approximately 2-3 months to see improvements.

Will it remove the slime off my timber decks?
Most definitely! But if your deck is older and has never been cleaned, it may be noticeably blackened with the contamination. In this case, it would be advantageous to wait a month after the application of Wet & Forget and give the area a light brush with a broom or scrubbing brush with warm water to remove it. The good news is that you should only have to do this once and then the maintenance becomes so easy.
Can I use Wet & Forget to get moss out of my garden grass?
Absolutely! To remove moss on grass first water the infected area lightly being sure not to saturate the moss. Do this late in the day when the sun is low so that evaporation is kept to a minimum. At worst you may get slight burning on the grass but it will recover very quickly.
Dilute the solution using 7 parts water to 1 part Wet & Forget formula and spot spray the moss. It may take a couple of goes until you have the contaminated areas covered. Give Wet & Forget some time to tackle the moss and then rake the dead moss out.
To help your grass recover from the moss infestation provide the area with garden lime to change the ph levels. If it's early spring or autumn, overseeding and fertilising should do the trick.
