Editorial Guidelines:

General Information 

  • Creators have creative freedom to structure and focus their content using their tone of voice, as long as it aligns with Wet and Forget's brand image.  
  • Content must be original and tailored to the creator's style. 

Key Message and Action Objective

  • Goal: Boost recognition for Wet and Forget, specifically highlighting the effects and convenience of Wet & Forget. 
  • Message: Showcase how Wet & Forget Products are a more convenient, longer lasting, and gentler substitute to jet washing. Key messages to emphasise: 
    • The product is great for various surfaces, including patios, roofs, bricks, paving, artificial grass, solar panels and more.  
    • Emphasis on the Coverage Ability on any Outdoor Products. 
    • The non-bleach formula continues to work overtime, ensuring long-lasting protection against mould and algae. With no expiry date, this product is always ready when you need it. 
    • Focus on the ease of use and the fact that no scrubbing is required for the product too be effective. 
  • Objective: Become a staple in your audience's cleaning routine. Wet & Forget should be recognised as the go-to brand for effective, low-effort cleaning solutions for a range of surfaces inside and outside the home.

  • Content: The content should include before shots of the area that will be treated with Wet & Forget. Dependent on the time in which results take to appear, please include after results of the treated area.

Mandatory Inclusions

  • Ensure the products are naturally integrated into the scene, with the packaging front and label visible. 
  • The campaign hashtag must be visible in all posts. 
  • If followers inquire about where to purchase the products, tag @wetandforgetuk so they can respond. 
  • PPE must be worn in the content created as described on the product. This includes gloves and eye protection.  
  • Wet & Forget is tested for the removal of mould, lichen and algae – however it is not testing in the UK for moss removal so please do not mention this.

5L / 2L Mould, Lichen and Algae Outdoor Cleaner 

  • Perfect for almost all outdoor surfaces such as patios, driveways, decking and even solar panels, astro turf and caravans! 
  • Removes contaminants such as mould, lichen and algae. 
  • Bleach-free formula requires no scrubbing – just spray and leave. Over time, the rain and wind will gently break down and wash away the contamination.  

Rapid Application

  • Ready to use formula – simply attach your hose, turn the nozzle to ‘on’ and spray.  
  • Nozzle attachment allows you to cover a large surface area quickly and reach up to 8m high!

DOS & DON’TS 

DOS

  • The creator has freedom to adapt the structure and scope of the content. 
  • It is recommended to show the product in the first 15 seconds because after this time the engagement declines. It is not mandatory. 
  • The content generated will be unique and adapted to the brands content and editorial line. Under no circumstance will a copy and paste of this document be made. 
  • The reel will be collaborative with the brand. 
  • In the content: 
    • Mention the brand: @wetandforgetuk
    • Include the hashtag: #Wet&Forget
    • Include the hashtag: #ad at the start of the copy
  • You will send your content and copy for its approval before publication. 
  • If you record yourself as a selfie, it is important that the product is read and seen from the front correctly and not the other way around. 
  • Always, in every publication, the person hired for the collaboration shall appear on the image, showing their face and interacting with the product.  

DON’TS  

  • No other brand should be visible in the image. Avoid large logos on garments or any other element of the image so as not to distract attention from the product. 
  • Do not have overloaded or dark backgrounds. 
  • Do not use music that is in a commercial library. 
  • Do not have background noises or volume jumps in order for the message to be heard clearly. 
  • Avoid claiming the product is Pet / Environmentally Friendly. Please follow all on pack advice regarding use around animal and plants.
